Sport in Nature : about the unit and where it fits

Into our experimental Bilingual Project, this unit plan is going to be carried along the three terms of the course. It will consist of 12 theoretical and practical sessions, depending on the progress of the students. The unit is focused on Students of the Intermediate Course of Vocational Training called "Expert in the conduct of Physical and Sports Activities in a Natural Environment" in the subjects of "Guiding of groups on bicycle and guiding of groups on a horseback and basic equine care"

Expectations

At the end of this unit all the students must
Be able to identify and name the basic parts of the bikes and horses and their equipment; to recognize the different groups of customers in order to design and prepare the routes; to identify some factors that influence in risks of the activity, in order to prevent accidents; to describe and explain basically the routes to the group; to prepare basic information- advertisement - for the students company; to guide the customer efficiently and safely
At the end of this unit most of the students should
Be able to identify and name the most important parts of the bikes and horses and their equipment; to recognize the different groups of customers in order to design and prepare different routes according to their ages and physical condition; to identify the main factors that influence in risks of the activity, in order to prevent accidents; to describe and explain the most importan details of the routes to the group; to prepare detailed information- advertisement - for the students company; to guide the customer efficiently and safely, being able to give shorts explanations about historical, botanical or another interesting aspect during the route
At the end of this unit some of the students could
Be able to identify and name almost all the parts of the bikes and horses and their equipment; to recognize and organize the different groups of customers in order to design and prepare different routes according to their needs; to identify all the factors that influence in risks of the activity, in order to prevent accidents; to describe and explain deeply the routes to the group; to prepare extensive information- advertisement - for the students company; to guide the customer efficiently and safely being able to give long explanations about historical, botanical or another interesting aspect during the route and have a real experience with foreigners students of Spanish of the English School of Language of Ávila guiding them by bike in an historical route throughout the town
